This past school year marked the
137th anniversary of the Academy. IWA celebrated many accolades with various
academic awards, achievements and athletic accomplishments. In the fall of 2009
we initiated the IWA Dad's Club and coordinated a hugely successful Falcon
Raffle and Golf Tournament. The year ended on a high note with our most
successful gala and auction to date. A Night of a Thousand
Stars earned a net income of $230,000.00.
As we look to the upcoming school year, we are reminded
that the success of the Parent Club is made possible through the strong support
of our IWA parents. The Parent Club is involved in all of the major events and
social activities held at the school, as well as enhancing the merchandise sold
through the school's Spirit Shop.
We are asking each family to volunteer a minimum of 15
hours of service to the school throughout the 2010-2011 year. Each time you
lend a helping hand, you assist in building our IWA community. Please help us, not
only to create a better school for your daughter(s), but also to set a good
example for them, namely, the importance of one's commitment to service in the
form of volunteering. There are volunteer opportunities for
everyone! Please review all the information listed below and please return
pages 4, 5 & 6 by August 2, 2010 letting us know where you can help.
