In the heart of downtown Houston, Incarnate Word Academy (IWA) continues to be a dynamic place where our students learn to grow, to be challenged, and to explore the world around them.

As a college preparatory academy, IWA provides students with a foundation of knowledge combined with practical experience and skills to prepare each to succeed in today's rapidly changing world.
As a Catholic high school, IWA provides students with a values-centered education, encouraging exploration of social issues to gain moral perspective. Dedicated to empowering its students to make a difference in themselves, their education, and their communities well into the 21st century, this young women's academy combines academic excellence with strong Catholic commitment to ensure its students receive the best education in the best of atmospheres.
In addition to the academic challenge, our students are invited and encouraged to join in the many activities available on campus. We have a number of student clubs (science, foreign language, art, music, acting, etc), sports (Soccer, Volleyball, Softball, Basketball, Cross-Country, Track & Field, and Golf), and a dance team. Whatever the interests -- we want our students' high school days to be filled with positive school spirit, happiness, and fun while persevering the hard work and extra-curricular activities that will help open the doors to a successful future.
