Incarnate Word Academy's Athletic Department is dedicated to providing a social, physical, and challenging environment where student athletes have the opportunity to acquire culturally valued attitudes and behaviors. It is proven that sport becomes an agent in the social development of the student athlete. At IWA, we provide the environment where coaches prescribe methods for attaining success not only in sports but in the everyday life of the student athlete.
We compete in the Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools (TAPPS) division AAAAA. Our athletes recieve All-District and All-State honors in various sports, year after year. Over 25% of our student body participates in athletics, and many of those students are multi-sport athletes. IWA is very proud of its student-athletes and supports their representation in athletics.
All athlete's parents are members of the BOOSTER CLUB. We are proud of the support they provide. |

There will be a very important meeting for any parent of a student that will participate in athletics this coming year. Attendance of at least one parent is mandatory.
