The purpose of the Art Team is to foster an appreciation for the visual arts, and to encourage those who are interested to cultivate a real love for the arts and to recognize its importance in our lives. This club allows its members to share their talents with fellow members as well as with the rest of the school.
Team members work on projects during the meeting times, and are provided opportunities throughout the year to enter events such as art competitions and displays. It's an Art Team tradition for the members to present the school with a mural at the end of the school year. These murals are permanetly hung in the school.
The 2007-08 Art Team contributed time, creativity and talent to events like TAPPS and the IWA Gala & Auction. Their furniture, paintings and prints were sold for over $1,000 at the Gala! They are working on a mural for the fourth floor hallway that hopefully will be in place by the end og this school year.
