IWA Drama had a full year in 2007-2008. We were introduced to our new auditorium facilities and have been regularly utilizing and learning how to operate the state-of-the-art equipment. We opened the season with our fall production, Wannabees, a delightful play set in an all girls' summer drama camp. All grades were cast in this full production, and we had a great turnout. Our spring production was also a great success. Girls of the Garden Club was a laugh-out-loud comedy that brought joy to both the cast and the audience. Mrs. Gehbauer's drama classes will also be performing in May for their final exams. Drama I will perform one act from You Can't Take It with You, and Drama II will be performing Steel Magnolias, as well as producing an original film. Many drama students went to the school-sponsored trip to New York City over Spring Break where they saw four Broadway shows. We were also able to walk down to the Alley Theatre for two student matinee performances: Arsenic and Old Lace and Othello. Join us for more excitement, and yes, Drama, in 2008-09!Sharon Gehbauer Drama Director
