Eucharistic Celebrations are held once a month at Annunciation Church. We also have Mass for Holy Days and special feasts. IWA hosts a Father/Daughter and a Mother/Daughter Mass and reception each year, and a special Mass for the Juniors to receive their class rings. Foundation Day Mass is held each May, and celebrates the anniversary of the first chapel built in Houston in 1873 by the Sisters of the Incarnate Word and the Blessed Sacrament. That humble chapel established the foundation that became Incarnate Word Academy. Foundation Day Mass also celebrates the life and legacy of the Foundress of the order, Jeanne de Matel, during which an Award for Excellence is presented in her name.
