The Falcon Fusion is a student newspaper designed and written by IWA students. Published monthly, the paper covers school news and events, including athletics, theatre, and the ever-popular Ask Pheathers advice column. In order to be a part of the Fusion staff, students must select Journalism as an elective course in their sophomore, junior, or senior year. Journalism is a course designed for those interested in newspaper writing and publication. Students learn the fundamentals of journalistic writing, reporting, interviewing, and page design. Strong language skills are helpful; students must demonstrate a responsible work-ethic and be able to meet deadlines. Being a part of the Fusion team gives students the opportunity to record a school year's events in their own style and learn the fundamentals of solid reporting and publication design. Mr. Mooneyham is the class instructor.
