Every school year, the Sisters of the Incarnate Word and Blessed Sacrament carry on a 135-year-old legacy as they open the doors of Incarnate Word Academy to new and returning students. It is such an exciting time for the Sisters, parents, students and as the community witnesses the eagerness and enthusiasm of new beginnings.
The mission of Incarnate Word Academy provides young women with a Catholic College preparatory education, helping them grow in their relationship with Jesus, the Incarnate Word,and live according to His values. We strive to offer an excellent educational and affordable experience that is competitive amongst other College Prepratory Schools.
A challenge that is faced annually is keeping the tuition affordable while maintaining excellent academic standards. Few realize that the actual cost of an IWA education for the 2008-2009 school year is $12,500. With tuition at $7,600, there is a $4,900 deficit per student. Fundraising campaigns and events are necessary to make up this shortfall.
The Spirit of The Word Annual Fund 2008 has been established that will fulfill additional needs, not possible with tuition dollars alone, such as facility improvements, curriculum enhancements, staff professional development, and funding for scholarships: all resources that enrich the education of our daughters.

Consider making monthly or quarterly payments on your donation. We can bill you monthly or automatically charge your credit card. All gifts must be paid in full by June 30, 2009.
Simply print the Spirit of the Word donation form and mail it in with your payment or pledge.

More than 500 companies match their employees' gifts. See your human resources department for the form and send it to us. The matching gift is counted toward your total gift to IWA. Your gift doubles if your company matches dollar for dollar.
