2020 Giving Tuesday Fundraiser a Success

In these unprecedented and uncertain times, the gifts we give matter all the more. So do the gifts we receive. Incarnate Word Academy's #GivingTuesday 2020 fundraiser set a goal of raising $50,000 for the school.

When the final numbers were calculated, the fundraiser brought in $56,570.

"We are so very grateful to everyone who shared their treasure with IWA," said Sister Lauren Beck, C.V.I., president of Incarnate Word. "Every dollar raised helps us to continue our mission of providing young women with a rigorous college preparatory education rooted in values of Jesus, the Incarnate Word. In a time when many people are struggling, the gifts we've received are heartfelt and humbling."

The Incarnate Word Academy Annual Fund provides monies for every aspect of the school, including classroom materials, program development, athletics, fine arts and more. Every dollar is used to continue giving students experiences like our Young Leaders Program, access to sate-of-the-art technology and providing a safe environment for learning and sisterhood.

Throughout Giving Tuesday, donors were given shout-outs for their donations on IWA's social media channels. The Giving Tuesday campaign was spearheaded by the Academy's Office of Advancement.

This year, the school developed a giving guide, allowing donors to see how their contributions have an immediate, on-the-ground impact on IWA students.

And, while Giving Tuesday may be over, contributions to the IWA Annual Fund are still accepted online.
