As we gathered today to celebrate in thanksgiving the many gifts God has bestowed on each of us, our families, and our school, one word of thanks stood out for us. This year, Sister Lauren is celebrating her 50th jubilee anniversary as a consecrated religious in the Congregation of Sisters of the Incarnate Word and Blessed Sacrament. Since 2000, Sister Lauren has served as president of Incarnate Word Academy with love, care, and diligence leading countless educators to know and love the Incarnate Word and forming countless students to live as Women of the Word. In celebration of this jubilee year, the entire student body offered a decade of the rosary in theology class and collected notes into a prayer book. Natalie Birney '19 created a beautiful drawing of hands drawn in prayer to mark the special occasion. Thank you Sister Lauren for your 50 years of dedicated service to God!
