Cross Country Teams Place First at IWA Invitational
Twenty-four high school and 13 middle school teams took part in the 12th Annual IWA Cross Country Invitational on Aug. 14. And our IWA Falcons placed first in their divisions.
In the JV race first-year runner Jane Volf '24 finished 2nd and her sister Elia Volf '22 finished 4th. Ava Baughman '25, Isaballa Martinez '25, and Bella Coenen '22 finished 7th, 8th and 9th, respectively.
The Varsity squad won by six points over powerhouse The Woodlands Christian. Esperanza Vaquez '24 placed 4th, Abby Chiristensen '24 placed 12th and Amelie Dinh '23 placed 16th place out of 58 runners.
