Students, faculty, and staff arrived on campus at the crack of dawn on Wednesday, October 19, to show support and appreciation for our downtown neighbors, the Houston Astros. IWA's colorful "Chalk the Walk" art has become a seasonal tradition, and we thank Channel 11, Channel 2, and Channel 13 for visiting our campus next to Minute Maid Park and providing TV coverage of our students' Astros spirit. Shout-out to Student Council Advisor Nan Hernandez, who has organized the project over the past few years.

Fia Dehais, Class of 2025, drew a stunning portrait of Astros shortstop Jeremy Pena, who ended up being clutch in a Game 1 victory that night versus the Yankees.
