Swim Team Continues to Break Records

Incarnate Word Academy's swim team has been breaking records all season. This past weekend, they broke four more.

At the Annual HAPPI Invitational, where they were mistakenly called the Red Knights, the team turned in a great performance, collectively and individually. The 200m relay team broke a school record swimming 2:04.45. Carson Chesnut ‘22 broke the 100m freestyle with a time of 57.61. Team newcomer Claire Fischbach ‘25 broke two records, completing the 200m IM with a 2.22 and 100m breaststroke in 1:13.4.

"This was such a great job by the whole team!" said IWA athletic director Rick Perez.

The Falcons next head to the TAPPS Regional meet at the University of Houston Jan. 22. Competition begins at 10 a.m.
