Congratulations to Miranda Wilkes ‘19 for receiving the Houston Affiliate Award from the National Center for Women in Information Technology (NCWIT). Over 4,000 girls from all over America applied to the program and Miranda was one of 100 accepted students in the Houston area.

Meghan Moody '19, Caroline Moody '20, and Miranda Wilkes '19 attended the Bank of America Women's Leadership Series this week as guests of Asia Society of Texas. The students listened to an all-female panel of energy executives talk about the importance of STEM education in the heart of the "Energy Capital of the World."
IWA was proud to honor senior Morgan Sword as she signed her letter of intent on February 6th, the 2019 National Signing Day. Morgan proudly committed to play golf at Rocky Mountain College in Billings, Montana. The first IWA student to play golf in college, Morgan was recruited by Rocky Mountain College for golf, but her decision was based on academics. Morgan will enroll in the prestigious RMC Aviation Program to pursue her dream of becoming a pilot. Congratulations, Morgan!

Congratulations to Elissa Akuchie ‘19, Natalie Birney ‘19, Debbie Dinh ‘20, Michela Durrette ‘19, Bella Kerfers ‘20, Suzanna Marbach ‘19, and Adrianah Rangel ‘19 who competed as a team in the Vase Competition. All of the team's submissions ranked at the top of their Division and medaled. A special congratulations to Natalie Birney who's sculptural bust, Face of Beauty, was selected to compete individually at the VASE State Competition.
