Congratulations on your acceptance to IWA!  If you are a transfer student, you do not need to attend Registration Night on April 3.  Instead, please take the following steps to ensure a smooth transition to IWA!

What can I expect from Registration Night?

Registration night is a chance to see what your freshman year will look like.  We will have the following stations for you:

  • Course Selection: Chat with a member of the IWA faculty about the course selection process. 
  • Finance: Speak with our finance department about your Smart Tuition Account
  • Spirit Shop: Stock up on some IWA swag!
  • Transportation Booth: Connect with other future Falcons in your area and organize a carpool!
  • Athletics: Meet with the Athletic Department and learn more about sports at IWA!

How will I know what classes to sign up for?

At registration night you will meet with a member of the IWA faculty, they will help guide you through the registration process.  Look over the following documents to help prepare yourself ahead of time:

How do I request honors classes before the Placement Test?

At registration, you will have an opportunity to pre-select the honors courses your daughter is interested in taking. She will then be invited to take the Placement Test for math and foreign language in April. The results of the test, along with her entrance exam results and report cards from 8th grade, will help us best place her in the courses that best suit her abilities.

Freshman Course Selection FAQ

When will I know my schedule?

Your schedule will be emailed to you in May and will reflect the outcome of your course selection and/or placement testing. Our Academic Dean and Counselor will be available by phone appointment for any questions or concerns.

Is it too early to start thinking about sports or arts?

Of course not! Our Athletic Director will be available at Registration to talk about upcoming tryouts, summer camps and what it means to be a part of a team at IWA.  Likewise, our Dance Team Coach, Fine Arts Chair, and several students will be available to chat about choir, dance, theater, band, and more!

How do I purchase IWA swag?

When is Orientation and the first day of school?

Orientation will be held on August 12th and 13th. It is important that new students attend both days of Orientation. The first day of school will be held on August 14th.
