What a game the Varsity VB Team played on Thursday night! Although the team was down 0-2 to St. Pius X, they didn’t feel they were beaten. They battled back and won the next 3 sets to beat them 3-2. Athletic Director Coach Perez shared, "In my 18 years here I’ve never seen a game so intense as this one. They fought really hard. The two and a half hour game was well worth watching and cheering.
Varsity volleyball took first place in the Silver Bracket at the Living Stone Christian School Tournament last weekend and junior Merriam Scafide was named tournament MVP!
The varsity team earned a well-fought 3rd place in the Gold Bracket at Bay Area Christian School Tournament! Meanwhile the freshmen team went up against the JV team at First Baptist and won!
Congratulations to JV Volleyball who finished 4th place in the Gold Bracket at the Grace Christian Academy tournament last weekend. They were the only JV team in the Varsity tournament! Plus a special congratulations to Itzel Juarez who was named to the all-tournament team!
The "Falcon's Nest" gym on the fourth floor of IWA is home to the volleyball and basketball teams, and the on-campus weight room provides space for strengthening and conditioning.
