2026–2027 Course Catalog

All of our policies and expectations for the school year are outlined in our Student/Parent Handbook.

Any changes made to the handbook throughout the year will be communicated if and as they occur.

School is in session Monday–Friday from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Our schedule is divided into Red, White and Paid Days.

IWA students should use their current class schedule along with the 2026–2027 Textbook List to identify their required textbooks. 

The IWA Textbook List denotes whether each text is required to be purchased in print or digital version, or whether it is the student’s choice.

2026–2027 Textbook List

Incarnate Word Academy cannot administer any prescription or over-the-counter medication without a signed Medication Authorization Form and the medication provided by the parent or guardian.

If your daughter may need medication during the school year (e.g., for headaches, allergies, or menstrual cramps), please have your physician complete the form during her annual wellness visit. All medications must be brought to school in the original container, placed in a labeled zip-lock bag and submitted to the nurse’s office before the school year begins or prior to a school-sponsored overnight trip.

Epicurean Group, LLC, is delighted to serve Incarnate Word Academy and offer delicious, healthy foods, prepared fresh each day in their kitchen, and served on site at school.

As a partner with Houston-area private schools for more than 25 years, they understand what students want and what they need for a well-balanced meal and for optimal performance throughout each school day. 

Parents can register for student accounts via credit card, or students may buy meals or a la carte items at point of purchase with cash.

2025–2026 Lunch Menu

For the 2025–2026 school year, all forms will be accessed and signed through the Magnus Health System. 

To access Magnus Health: 

1. Log into your myIWA account.
2. Click on the Resources tab at the top. The Magnus Health link will appear. 
3. Once you open the link, Magnus will take you through a brief tutorial and you will be able to complete the proper 2025–2026 forms.
4. The Immunization Record must have an official provider signature or stamp. The TB Questionnaire must also be completed.

The Falcon Family Club is a vibrant volunteer group, assisting with multiple events throughout the year including Father and Daughter Mass, the annual Gala and Auction, and Teacher Appreciation Week.

Falcon Fridays are every Friday during the school year when we do not have an all-school Mass or a special event requiring the Mass uniform.

On these days, students may wear their IWA uniform skirt with a school spirit, or club or organization T-shirt. Dismissal on Falcon Fridays is at 2:45 p.m. 

Incarnate Word Academy partners with Blackbaud Tuition Management, an online tuition payment service.

Parents can see their tuition account and make payments 24/7 through the website.

Our weekly newsletter, "The Weekly Word," provides families with essential information about upcoming school events, policies, student and faculty news, and more.

Many questions about what's happening at IWA are answered in the newsletter, which is emailed every Friday afternoon during the school year (excluding breaks) at 3:00 p.m. "The Weekly Word" is sent to students, parents and guardians automatically.
