IWA provides reasonable accommodations in order for students to have equal access to academic courses, without sacrificing the integrity of the education program.  Accommodations provided to students are:

• Up to 50% extended time for quizzes, tests, and semester exams
• Preferential seating
• Testing without scantrons
• Note-taking assistance

In order to receive accommodations, a current (within the last three years) psycho-educational evaluation must be submitted to the school counselor by May 30, 2023. 

The school counselor, in conjunction with administration, will review the documentation and determine if IWA can reasonably meet your daughter’s needs. Once reviewed, a meeting will be set up with you and your daughter to discuss the accommodations that will be provided at IWA and her individual plan.

Orientation will be held August 9 and 10.
Freshman students must attend both days of Orientation. Transfer students are only required to attend on Aug. 9.

Students should consult their schedules and the 2023-2024 Textbook List for required textbooks. The list denotes whether each text is required to be purchased in print or digital version, or whether it is the student’s choice. Lists will be updated throughout the spring.

Here is the list of supplies all freshman will need for the 2023-2024 school year.

Transfer students should use this list as a guide, but will want to pay close attention to their individual subjects and book lists for supplies that are needed for their subjects.  

English I, Honors English I
Students will find the summer reading assignment for both English I and Honors English I here. The assignment should be complete by the first day of school.

Algebra I, Honors Algebra I
All incoming students taking Algebra 1 or Honors Algebra 1 will be required to complete a number of DeltaMath activities prior to the start of classes on August 14.  DeltaMath is an online platform that provides review and practice material along with tutorial videos and explanations.  The purpose of these activities is to review/refresh basic math principles and to be "ready to hit the ground running" when classes start.  Upon completion of the DeltaMath activities the student will earn a 100% quiz grade for the first quarter grading period.  The activities will be selected such that it should be possible to complete them all in under three hours.  Freshman students will be asked to provide a working email address after which they will receive instruction on creating an account and logging in.

Uniforms must be purchased from Tommy Hilfiger. Our school code is INCA02 .

• Pants: Purchased from Tommy Hilfiger.
• Sweatshirts: IWA uniform sweatshirt purchased from IWA Spirit Shop.
• Shoes: Dark, solid-colored brown, tan, black or navy leather shoes with a closed toe, including  a flat heel such as loafers, flats or oxfords. Navy, black or white athletic shoes (including high tops) are permitted.
• Socks and Tights: Solid white, navy, gray or black no-show, ankle, crew sock, knee-highs or tights.

• White uniform blouse: Long sleeved or short sleeved and/or white knit polo shirt, long sleeved or short sleeved
