To foster a spirituality of the Incarnation and a lifelong love of service, students at Incarnate Word Academy complete 75 hours of service throughout their high school career. These service hours are logged online via MobileServe. At the start of each semester, theology teachers check in with their students about their service experiences. At the end of each year, students complete a comprehensive project reflecting on their service experiences as part of their theology class. Students should have completed the following total hours by the end of each school year:
Break down of hours by grade level:
9th - 15 hours by the end of the freshman year.
10th - 20 hours with a total of 35 hours by the end of the sophomore year.
11th - 25 hours with a total of 60 hours by the end of the junior year.
