Women of the Word from 1948 to 2012 gathered at the Junior League of Houston on February 16, 2019 for the annual Spring Alumnae Luncheon. This year, the Academy honored Betty Ann Martin Kowis ‘53 and Lanette Kowis ‘88 for the love, leadership and commitment to Incarnate Word Academy and the greater Houston community.
More than 150 alumnae and friends gathered to celebrate the IWA sisterhood and the dynamic mother-daughter duo. A wonderful time was had by all and we are looking forward to doing it again next year!
Please join us for an all-class reunion and open house! All alumnae, significant others, and parents of alumnae are welcome.

Duchesne, Incarnate Word Academy, Strake Jesuit, St. Agnes Academy, St. Pius X & St. Thomas host a Young Alumnae Happy Hour at St. Arnold's Brewing Company each year. It's a great time to meet friends old and new and mix with other young professionals from your brother and sister schools! Saint Arnold brews are provided Young Alumni are considered those 21-40 years of age.

Incarnate Word Academy welcomed 10 distinguished alumnae to its 2018 Career Day. Each alumna, along with other presenters from the greater Houston community, shared about their professional experiences and journeys after IWA. A longstanding IWA tradition, the Red Check Luncheon is the IWA graduating class' official welcome into the sisterhood of IWA Alumnae. The lunch is hosted by graduates celebrating their jubilee anniversary, and we welcome classes of celebrating any major milestone year! Thank you to all of the alumnae who have joined us for the tradition. It's great to reminisce about Red Check Luncheons past!
