Decade Challenge

IWA gave us the opportunity to dream. To achieve. To lead. To serve. Now it is our turn to give that opportunity to the young women at the Academy today by giving to the IWA Annual Fund. Thank you for your commitment to the growth of our current and future Women of the Word, and the education and programs that support them!

Praised be the Incarnate Word!

About the Decade Challenge

The Decade Challenge is a friendly competition between decades for the highest participation and amount given to IWA. All gifts alumnae give from July 1 through June 30, count toward the Decade Challenge. The big push for the Decade Challenge runs between the Spring Alumnae Luncheon and Foundation Day, but you are welcome to give at any time.

Bragging rights go to the highest decade participation in overall giving and highest amount raised towards the IWA Annual Fund. Decade Challenge champs will receive recognition at the 2019 All-Class Reunion, in the Alumnae Amor newsletter, on the IWA website, and in The Word magazine.

The IWA Annual Fund this year supports key areas like Campus Ministry, Fine Arts, Student Life, as well as our innovative Young Leaders Program, and much more!

Crawford Club–Alumnae Giving Society

Buildings may change, but the legacy of excellence continues at 609 Crawford.

Continue to be a part of the IWA legacy and become a member of this alumnae giving society with an annual gift of $100 or more. Your gift will help continue to raise the bar for academics and student life, making the Academy experience grow in value and meaning.

1873 Society

IWA is a private, all-girls Catholic college preparatory in the heart of downtown Houston.

The 1873 Society is a core group of donors—alumnae, board members, parents and friends—who advance the mission of the Academy through their leadership giving to the IWA Annual Fund. Donors to the 1873 Society champion the academics, values and spirituality of IWA, as set forth by the Sisters of the Incarnate Word and Blessed Sacrament who founded the Academy more than 145 years ago.

Your leadership gift of $1,500 or more to the IWA Annual Fund, provides every student access to opportunities that distinguish the IWA experience and make it such a blessed place for young women to attend.

About 46% of our students rely on need-based or merit-based financial aid to attend Incarnate Word Academy. A leadership gift to the IWA Annual Fund would benefit all students, as unrestricted gifts allows Incarnate Word Academy to keep tuition costs low for the entire student body and augment its affordability to families in financial need. In addition, monies for the IWA Annual Fund allow the Academy to continue advancing its curriculum, technology, athletics and faculty development.
