Clubs & Extracurriculars

The Young Leaders Program offers a variety of co-curricular programs that complement our leadership classes by providing leadership opportunities open to all students.

Students in our co-curricular programs learn about career preparation, network with local leaders and design and implement school-wide events and learning opportunities.

Our Freshman Orientation Team hosts Freshman Orientation at Camp Kappe where they lead general sessions, small group sessions, and connect each freshman to IWA on campus.

Our Freshmen Orientation Team leads the freshmen class in a two day event at Camp Kappe. They provide an opportunity for the freshmen class to come together, learn about IWA and create bonds to start their next four years right.

Our Leadership Live team hosted Sgt. Amy Gonzales as a speaker for IWA's Leadership Live series where she shared her story of adversity, hope and purpose. Sgt. Gonzales is a decorated victim advocate with a history of solving homicides and human trafficking cases. She now works for the Office of Attorney General of Texas, where she is currently assigned to the Child Exploitation Unit/Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force. In her Leadership Live talk, she brought 25 years of law enforcement experience to IWA to teach our girls about how her faith helped her through intense lose, how her mother inspired her to learn forgiveness and how our students can keep themselves safe—especially on the internet.
